In the Book of Lamentations we read:
תבא כל-רעתם לפניך ועולל למו, כאשר עוללת לי על כל-פשעי:
“Let all their wickedness come before You; and do to them, as You had done to me for all my transgressions” (Thr 1:22).

Yet the Psalmist wrote:
אל-תט-לבי לדבר רע, להתעולל עללות ברשע- את-אישים פעלי-און; ובל-אלחם במנעמיהם
“Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to be occupied in deeds of wickedness with men that work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties” (Ps 141:4).

The understanding of the Greek (and English) translators suggests that here תט (that) is a letter-deletion error of תטה (thateh) - “do incline.” The comparison between these verses suggests that
להתעולל עללות ברשע-את (lehitho’lel a’liloth beresha’- eth) is a letter-insertion and a letter-substitution error of לעולל עללות רשע- עם (leo’lel a’liloth resha’- I’m) - “to do deeds of evil with.” It is also suggested that here אלחם (elkham) is a letter-substitution and order-type error of
אחלק (ekhlaq) - “share” (e.g. Ex 15:9; Is 53:12).אלחם או אחלק?
