The Psalmist wrote: כי-השקיף ממרום קדשו; יהוה משמים אל-ארץ הביט - “For He had looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven did YHWH gazed at the earth” (Ps 102:20; see also: Deu 26:15; Ex 14:2; Ps 14:2; 53:5; 85:12).

Yet in the Book of Isaiah we read: כי כה אמר יהוה אלי, אשקוטה (אשקטה) ואביטה במכוני - “For thus had YHWH said to me: I will hold Me still, and I will look on in My dwelling-place” (Is 18:4).

However, the comparison between these verses suggests that אשקוטה (eshqotah) is a letter-substitution error of אשקיפה (ashqiphah) - “I will gaze.” It is also suggested that במכוני (bimechoni) is a letter-substitution error of ממכוני (mimechoni) - “from My dwelling.”

In the Book of Deuteronomy we read: השקיפה ממעון קדשך מן-השמים - “Look forth from Your holy habitation, from heaven” (Deu 26:15; see also: Jer 25:30; Zec 2:17; Ps 68:6; 2 Ch 30:27).

We saw that the Psalmist wrote: כי-השקיף ממרום קדשו; יהוה, משמים אל-ארץ הביט - “For He had looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven did YHWH gazed at the earth” (Ps 102:20; see also: Is 57:15).

However, the comparison between these verses suggests that here ממרום קדשו (mimrom qodsho) is a letter-substitution of ממעון קדשו (mimo’n qodsho) - “from His holy habitation.”

In the Book of Daniel we read: והשלך מכון מקדשו - “and the place of his sanctuary was cast down” (Dan 9:11).

However, the comparison between these verses suggests that והשלך מכון מקדשו (vehushlach mechon miqdasho) is a a letter-substitution and order-type error of והשלך ממעון קדשו (vehushlach mimeo’n qodsho) - “and he was cast out of His holy habitation.”
